Guitarist Dies Aboard Band's Tour Bus

Casey Calvert, guitarist for the band Hawthorne Heights, died Friday while on the band's tour bus. There has been no ruling on the cause of death, though it has been reported that Calvert suffered from asthma and that may have played a role.

The band posted a message on their website Saturday that read, in part, "At this time we're not sure what exactly happened. Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal."

Hawthorne Heights was scheduled to play a show in Atlanta tonight, but it was canceled.

20. Truly sad. My sympathies to his family. Me and my daughter saw them in concert and totally love them. Sorry to hear of their loss. He will be missed!

21. ...sad...don'tknow this person...but was loved by many...so sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...especially so young!!!!...and to the young man who posted earlier...I'm sooooo happy u have gottne pst the hspt visit's...I wen thru that with my guy when he was 4 yrs old...outgrew it by 7...nice loving to ur mom!!...sweet guy...take care of ur lungs, they r still fragile, avoid pollution when u can!! best wishes!!!

27. I loved HH..i met the band at the Never Sleep Again Tour with aiden silverstein and hh in 2005..oddly enough it was the first show the bands played after the accident which took the life of Bayside's drummer beatz...

i was shocked to hear about this....i actually cried...


i know this is mean...but i think its funny how after someone famous from a band dies they are everyones favorite member.....
maybe its just me..

29. I've had asthma all of my life and have stopped breathing twice in the ER....once in 1994 and again in 1997. I live with cortisone, adrenaline shots and a machine near me at all times. Thankfully I seldom get that bad but it is a terrilby frightening disorder to deal with. I almost died when my babies were small and I remember thinking that they'd never know me. I'm 56 now with 2 little grandsons and I am grateful for every breath and every day no matter how crappy life can seem sometimes. God bless him....
