Brandy Sued for $50 Million

The parents of the woman killed in a car crash involving Brandy are suing the R&B singer for $50 million.

TMZ obtained the lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Lawyers for the family of the deceased claim, "Defendant Brandy Norwood was driving recklessly in the freeway when her car collided with Awatif Aboudihaj's car."

The $50 million lawsuit seeks both compensatory and punitive damages.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles City Attorney is considering the CHP's recommendation to criminally charge Brandy with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter.

76. Ummm, yeah... how many of you A-holes actually do the speedlimit on the highway???? The limit is often 70. And besides, if someone slows down on the freeway suddenly, then chances are, they're gonna get their asses knocked off. POINT BLANK! I DEFEND BRANDY.... 77. It was an accident. If she had been under the influence, or otta control in a rage or something, but this could happen to anybody. These cars on the LA freeways often come to a complete stop, and when you finally move, there is no apparent reason for them to have slowed, or stopped in the first place, and you go wtf. GIVE HER A BREAK. GO BRANDY!

84. Wow. It's amazing they found enough courage in the midst of their grief and heartache to sue for $50 MILLION. Are you kidding me? They have some sleazy, money hungry lawyer who was suspended by the California Bar in 2004 for not making child support payments. Great person to get as your advocate. And why the heck are the parents suing, shouldn't the husband sue? It's sad that all their daughter's life meant to these people is $$$$$.
